It only takes an hour by train to go from Paris to Lille. This proximity is a source of happiness for MaisonCléo, which has decided to establish its headquarters in, what could be called, the northern French capital. Ever since she founded the brand in 2017, Marie Dewet has been giving life to her dream wardrobe, sensuous yet responsible, for girls to enjoy worldwide. Free from all conventions, MaisonCléo only has a single rule: each piece is handmade in France using deadstock fabrics, and is produced by passionate knitters and seamstresses. From its inception to the present day, MaisonCléo has never strayed from this founding
principle and today, the team is thrilled to be able to present their very first Fall/Winter show.
Fall/Winter 2022-2023 in MaisonCléo? That’s hot! Scorching hot. Summer’s barely over… Short of welcoming you on a dreamy beach backdrop, we decided to invite you to a familiar place for many, a spot where people usually drop off their kitsch holiday postcards: a post office. A common space, now empty, that once hosted crowds bearing love or break-up letters. The MaisonCléo girls are sent down the runway as couriers, wearing our latest creations, both new and familiar pieces. Silhouettes are sensual, cuts are flattering and although the pieces are warm, bodies are revealed through an intricate interplay of transparency and openings. So hot it will make you thorny, this new collection is based around the Rose, which can be found on a knitted tank top or a transparent mesh dress. The colour red holds a special place in this collection, as it is the ultimate symbol of passion and audacity. Fiery and passionate words that resonate within every MaisonCléo girl.
